- Meditators are required to respect and be sensitive to the Thai Society through being mindful of appropriate dress and behavior.
- The minimum staying course for the healing program is 9 nights/ 10 days. If you have less time you can only enroll in the meditation course.
- If you arrive at 9 a.m. you can ordain and start on the same day your course. If you arrive later, you will start on the next day your course.
- The ordination ceremony for the 8 precepts takes time at 13 p.m. Please have in mind that you need be ready and dressed in white attire for the ordination ceremony. (See number 3)
- For the white attire uniform, sleeping set etc. you can rent everything here. Have in mind that there is a deposit cost as well. Once you finish your course and give back the items, you have to show them your ticket fee in order to receive your deposit fee back. *Women need to wear white singlets and shorts (also could be rented or bought if you prefer).
- You must wear white and the appropriate meditation attire at all times of your stay, also for sleeping.
- Mobile phones will be required during your stay as well as your passport. Although there is a limited time that you can use your mobile phone 3 times during your staying from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- There are lockers here that you can rent during your staying. However please do not bring valuable things in the temple. The temple will not hold any responsibility for any lost or damaged belongings.
- Note that during your staying, meditators sleep in a communal hall.
- During the course you are not allow to leave the temple by your own. Just let the office know in advance if you need to leave. Also Further staying may be granted subjected to the temple consideration.
- There is a small grocery shop here. The price is standard.
- There are some small costs of buying food to give to monks for making merit during the program.
- There is no ATM machine here always. So normally it is recommend that a person should bring at least 3000 Thai Baht for paying things that they might need here.
- The temple does not charge for the cost of staying. (Please note that the financial expenses of the temple are completely covered by the donations out of faith and free by the lay-community donations). Temple facilities are free for people to use, including water and electricity, food, herbal medications, homeopathic treatments, Dhamma talks and instructions, etc. Even so, contributions towards the cost of these amenities are appreciatively accepted. It is polite to make donations to whatever extend you feel is appropiate. And so other people can benefit as well when they come to stay at the temple.
- Wat Trivisudhidham is a center of Dhamma practice. If you have other intentions in mind (e.g. living cheaply, taking a rest from travelling, using us a base for conducting outside business, etc.), then this is not the place for you. Do not use the Dhamma as a commodity of exchange or convenience.
- Please let us know in advance the day and time do you expect to come to the temple, we don’t always have a translator here
